Why did you choose a career path in senior healthcare?
I always knew I wanted to choose a career that would benefit my community and one that would make me a great resource for others providing open arms and a caring heart! Out of high school, I started working for an Assisted Living to begin my career in caring and giving back while beginning my journey into medical school. Caring for seniors had opened my eyes to see just how much I enjoyed caring and giving back which assured me that this is where my path was meant to be. Over the years, the residents I cared for and the staff I worked with became my second family which created a whole new lifetime of great friends. Choosing a career in senior care has changed my life forever and has come with such a great community and many opportunities!
Name your best work moment.
Although, I have many wonderful memories while working in senior care, the greatest memory I have so far was being a provider in the Share the Love program on behalf of Capital Health Home Care. It is with great pleasure that I was able to participate in giving back to seniors in their homes with items they needed, ranging from food, personal care needs, household items, and much more! Seeing the relief, genuine gratitude, and happy tears while delivering their items, filled my heart with much love and gratitude to be able to do what I do!
What do you look most forward to at work?
I look forward to working with my team and our partners to ensure that seniors in our community are getting the care that they need. Our staff at Capital Health Home Care is such a great pleasure to work with, as well as our partners! We all have the same goal for our seniors and will all go above and beyond to make sure the care they need is being delivered!
Name some of your favorite things to do outside of work.
I value spending my time outside of work with my family and my friends! My husband and I enjoy participating in outdoor activities all year round along with our fur baby, Koda! I also have a passion for music and art. I enjoy singing and playing my guitar, photography, and finding different things I can create or DIY!
